Musical Theatre Summer School
Final Presentation
Well what can I say. Last night, Staurday 20 August saw the summer school presentation performed to a packed Arts Centre Auditorium. Eighty children and young people perfomed a programme including over 25 songs from musicals including Joseph, The Lion King, Smike, The Sound of Music and many many more. The young people had been working for the last two weeks on music, dance and drama with a team of professional tutors including Tommy McLoughlin, Mary McManus, Elizabeth Freeburn, Sinead McNally, Corinna Cunningham and Sian Lilley.
There is one further days work on Thursday 25 August when the young people will be involved in a day of African music and dance under the guidance of Tura Artura from Artfrique. Some places are still available for this workshop. The junior group will meet in the morning 10am to 1pm (primary school children) and the Senior Group will meet in the afternoon 2pm to 5pm.
An end of school BBQ for all students will take place at 3pm on Sunday 28 August.
