Honk! The Ugly Duckling!
HONK! What a Show!
Honk is an "eggcellent" show. We ran for six nights from 19 - 24 September. There’s snow shortage of great yolks in this show for all the family.
The cast was lead by Sean Donnelly as a wonderful Ugly. He was supported by Eithne Bell as fantastic Ida and Jim McGuigan was Drake. Orlaith Mulholland played the ever optimistic Bullfrog, while Cat Barter and Roisin Fearon were Lowbutt and Queenie respectively. Jason O Hanlon played the pompous Goose Greylag, supported by Aimée McCague as Dot. Mary McCabe played nosey neighbour Maureen and Mark McGuigan was the Turkey. Fergal White played the part of the Cat and Conal O Hare was Jack Daw.
There were many wonderful moments in this production. The underwater scene was enchanting as was the blizzard. The WildGoose Chase and the Warts & All number where fantastic. The Choreography for the entire show was inspiring. A particular mention must go to the Tango performed by the Cat & Queenie supported by Lowbutt and Ugly. This number, "Together" had the audience in fits of laughter. The younger members of the Cast performed a fantastic "Warts & All" number which rpoved to be a real show stopper.
All in all Honk! was a wonderful production with something for all ages both on stage and most importantly in the audience.
The Production Team was lead by Jim McGuigan who was the Producer/Director. Linda Heaney was the Musical Director and Ann Marie Morgan was Choreographer.
